Festival of Transport event 10th to 12th September 2010
Free admission and free parking
Star Cars making special guest appearances include the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang visiting the centre on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th September. An original Back to the Future Delorean and Del Boy's Regal Reliant Van will be on display on the Saturday and Sunday.
Come and see Chitty from 9am to 7pm on Friday and 9am to 4pm on Saturday.
Del Boy's van & The Back to the Future Delorean will be on display on Saturday from 9am to 7pm and on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
The Delorean and Trotters Reliant Regal van are being hired from Cars of the Stars museum in Keswick, in the Lake District. These are all original cars and not replicas. The Delorean is from Back to the Future 3.
Classic Car Show
The finale to the event will be a classic motor show on the Sunday. Up to 100 classic, vintage, kit and custom cars will be on display outside in Green car park, alongside the monthly Farmers' market.
We have been working with Dennis Ines who fundraises for Kent Ambulance and who is organising the Classic Motor Show on our behalf.
There are still a few spaces left and we are also looking for additional ‘star’ cars to complement the cars already booked.
This is a new 3 day event at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre in association with Kent Air Ambulance. Their volunteers will be here throughout the event collecting money for the charity.
